The Great Room seeks a Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) based in Hong Kong who will be responsible for launching and driving the growth of our brand. The SMM’s main focus will be to plan, develop and implement marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities for The Great Room’s locations in Hong Kong.

The SMM will lead all areas of marketing – PR, events, partnerships, advertising, digital marketing and visual communications – to develop, implement and execute a plan that is in line with brand values and business strategy so as to attract potential members and retain existing ones. The SMM will also be responsible for growing the business profitably from events proactively.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated with a entrepreneurial mind-set, capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is able to bring a structured mind into the creative field of marketing to take actions for tangible results. The SMM will report to the Country General Manager (Hong Kong) as well as the Director of Marketing and Communications (Corporate) based in the Singapore Corporate Office.

 

What will you do

Be the Guru of your field

  • Work with Director of Marketing and Communications (Corporate Office), The Great Room’s Brand guidelines and Marketing plan template
  • Plan and deliver the pre-opening marketing plan taking into consideration adaptations required for the local market
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance
  • Recommend short- and long-term company goals and objectives to the CEO and the Director of Marketing and Communications (Corporate)
  • Plan and execute the on-going marketing plan and events calendar
  • Prepare Event venue rate card and location specific SOPs

Spread our Brand Message and Magic

  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of Company’s marketing/communication collaterals
  • Ensure that Company’s print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc. adhere to Brand guidelines
  • Act as the Company’s first and primary touch-point representative with the media
  • Coordinate media interest in the Company and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests
  • Attend relevant networking events to build database of potential clients and partners
  • Adapt communications and develop communications specific to the local market (if required)
  • Plan and execute our community calendar, and producing city specific content when necessary

Build Relationships with External Stakeholders

  • Drive innovative customer experience, working with Operations team to ensure smooth implementation
  • Build and develop relations with all vendors, partners and business thought leaders
  • Oversee Marketing Budget and report monthly to Country General Manager of the location and Director of Marketing and Communications (Corporate).

Share your Achievements

  • Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Director of Marketing (Corporate).
  • Oversee Marketing Budget and report monthly to Country General Manager of the location and Director of Marketing and Communications (Corporate).

Be a Team Leader and Builder

  • Recruit, motivate and develop an all-stars marketing team in Hong Kong
  • Lead Member Relations Officer (Events) based at the respective Office in the cluster to ensure all event (both internal and external) logistics are well executed

 

Who you are

  • Someone who is ready to get their hands dirty and understands that devil is in the details
  • Gets excited about working with numerous people across cultures day to day
  • Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and good work ethics
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, multi-task, delegate and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Finds it easy to bridge corporate and start-up culture
